FAQs
1. Do I need to have a diagnosis to start therapy?
Not at all. You don’t need a diagnosis, crisis, or a “big reason” to seek therapy. If you’re feeling off, stuck, or just want support—therapy is for you.
2. What if I’ve never done therapy before?
That’s totally okay (and super common!). We’ll go at your pace. I will guide the process in a way that feels grounded, collaborative, and comfortable.
3. Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person?
Yes. Research shows that virtual therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions. Many clients even find it easier to open up from the comfort of home.
4. What if I get emotional or overwhelmed during a session?
That’s a normal part of the process. I am trained to hold space for whatever comes up—without judgment or pressure to “fix it” immediately.
5. Can I talk about sex, trauma, or personal identity in therapy?
Absolutely. This is your space to talk about anything—especially the topics that feel hard to bring up elsewhere. You’ll be met with empathy, not shame.
